Astronaut Dreams and Flying Machines and Other Sad Songs We Heard This Week
Leah Beckmann · 09/21/12 06:00PMYou know how sometimes you'll put a yogurt in your office fridge, storing it away like a squirrel, that was specifically purchased for your breakfast on Friday morning and in the meantime it becomes this sort of beacon of light, this tiny orb pulsing with the promise of freedom and the weekend, and you wake up Friday morning looking forward to eating it, whistling as you get ready for work because you know you're about to start your day the way the Greeks intended? Well someone in this office stole my yogurt from the fridge. For this week's hate mail roundup, please join me in channeling all of these negative vibes at the ratfink who violated me. Have a good weekend!
Turning 40 and Other Milestones We Faced Together this Week
Leah Beckmann · 09/07/12 06:00PM"How are [we] to believe that blue ivy is the daughtor of the devil" and More Questions Posed to Us this Week
Maeve Keirans · 08/31/12 06:00PMA lot of important questions were tossed at us this week: What are Gawker's politics? What does it take to get escorted out of the RNC? Does Rand Paul wear a wig? And perhaps most pressing, are we sure that Blue Ivy is the daughter of the devil? Take the weekend to consider these questions and we'll regroup after Labor Day. Have a superb long weekend, everyone!

Leah Beckmann · 06/12/12 11:50AMLola Versus, a rom-com-ish movie about a woman who goes looking for herself after she's dumped the same day she tries on her wedding dress, opened this past weekend to bad numbers and worse reviews. Starring Greta Gerwig, directed by Daryl Wein and co-written by Zoe Lister Jones, it brought in a meager $31,815 (in New York and L.A. only, but still) and trailed behind its same-genre competitor, Safety Not Guaranteed.
'Go Gawker!' and Other Jarring Well-Wishes We Received This Week
Leah Beckmann · 06/08/12 05:15PMIn an interesting turn of events this week, a barrage of our defenders came barreling into our inboxes, which is almost more unsettling than the death threats we are accustomed to. What gives, guys? The inmates have become the guards, brothers fighting brothers, up is down and left is right. Anyway, enjoy the roundup and this blessed summer weekend.
