Lots of variety among the emails we received this week: some people shared their thoughts on recent articles, some wrote in about articles published weeks ago, and some sent us links to The New York Times. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Have a great weekend, y'all!

Coming to the defense of another small-business owner, Mitt Romney:

Subj.: Your a dick

John,

I just wanted to let you know that as a small business owner,

your a dick...

PLEASE stop being a dick.

This entire email is a blind item:

Who are the blind items!?!

Politely requesting Gawker-lite:

Hi Rich,

I read your article, Please Don't Infect Me, I'm sorry and I really appreciate your approach. As I a gay HIV posiitve man, I would love a less graphic version of your article to share on facebook so that my straight friends and family could get some insight into HIV and the gay community. Do you think that there is a possibility of you producing something like that?

Max Read has the golden key:

A Busta Rhymes apologist with a name bias:

Hi Hamilton,

I'm not sure what you don't understand about what Busta Rhymes said. It makes perfect sense. He's saying that his goal is to innovate and champion creativity in all levels of his music involvement. That is completely clear to me, and is laudable given the lameness of some mainstream hip-hop.

As far as saying Lil Wayne is "the most, one of the motherfuckers I've seen work," and the critic statements, so what? It's overall clear what he's saying (well, to me, but it's not like I'm trying hard). He was speaking extemporaneously, not crafting an op-ed. It's not clear if he was being interviewed in speech or writing, but more so than Busta not saying anything that makes sense, I think this representation is rather the manifestation of lazy interviewer follow-up and/or editing on the part of The Huffington Post. Which, as is quite apparent by the totality of The Huffington Post, is not uncommon at all.

This reminds me of this time in grad school, working in a schizophrenia lab, when a fellow grad student from a very wealthy and privileged background stated that a black research participant was showing a symptom of psychosis—spontaneously creating words or misusing them—because he reported that he had "just been marinating" one weekend. The black student in our lab was pretty incredulous as she explained.

You sound like a guy named Hamilton Nolan criticizing a black dude for not speaking in a "civilized" manner, you know what I mean? I don't know, maybe you should talk this over with Cord Jefferson. Sounds like the name of a guy who would agree with you. Bring it up on a double date to the country club with Muffy and Kick.

Sincerely,
Kari

Unsolicited career advice for LeBron James:

Why do think it is LaBron James responsibility to be a shoe cost fixer, there is something called price collusion. I am sick and tired of you people always taking a shot at James. Perhaps if he played the clown roll and yuck it up with the media or played the magic Johnson role od happy smiley face N then you would be happy.

A one-way (coach) ticket to anywhere:

Sir, I will be brief. To say that you are a fucking retard is an insult to retards everywhere. We don't live in that kind of country, and I will shed every ounce of blood in my body to ensure we never do. Not even China is like that anymore.

Please find somewhere else to move, send me the invoice for the (coach class, wouldn't want you to be a 1%'er of course) ticket and I will be glad to pay the freight. One less of your type means more enjoyment for the rest of us.

No college records, no SS#, nothing to find:

Hey.. why don't you find Obama's college records??? Oh.. nothing to find???

How about his ss#? Oh... not possible to have a Connecticut SS#?

Are you guys as much a bunch of campus commies as POTUS or are you afraid of finding something that really matters?
