Almost a month after an EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo went missing with 66 people on board, officials say that several main sections of the plane have been discovered at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, UPI reports.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior Egyptian forensics official told the Associated Press that human remains recovered from the wreckage of EgyptAir Flight 804 suggest that there had been an explosion on board the plane: “The logical explanation is that an explosion brought it down.”

Egyptian air and naval forces have found some of the wreckage from EgyptAir flight 804, which crashed in transit from Paris to Cairo yesterday, the Egyptian army said on Friday, including some of the 66 passengers’ “personal belongings.” The Greek defense minister said a body part was also found.

Although investigators are still piecing together the sequence of events that led to the sudden disappearance of EgyptAir Flight 804 last Wednesday night, officials from several nations are in agreement on one key fact: It was probably terrorists.

Not to be outdone by a plane crash and 66 possible dead bodies, Donald Trump has found a way to insert himself into the EgyptAir news cycle, speculating that the plane was brought down by “yet another terrorist attack.”

An EgyptAir passenger jet carrying 66 people from Paris to Cairo disappeared over the Aeagen Sea, in Egyptian airspace, early Thursday morning. President François Hollande confirmed that the plane had crashed. Paris prosecutors have reportedly opened an investigation.

EgyptAir has confirmed that Flight MS804, carrying at least 56 passengers and 10 crew members from Paris to Cairo, has disappeared.

Early this morning a man claiming he had a bomb hijacked an EgyptAir flight and forced the pilots to land in Cyprus.

Mohamed Ibrahim Khalf flew from New York to Cairo on EgyptAir "with a mini-arsenal of two pistols, 250 rounds of ammo, two swords and 11 daggers." Basically, the only guy named Mohamed not racially profiled actually had weapons.
