Facebook and Google, multi-billion dollar corporations that mine your private data for money, are apparently very concerned about the Ebola virus, because they are "socially active" companies. So they are asking—nay, guilting—their users for money to "help" "stop" and "fight" Ebola.

18,000 Nurses Plan Strike Over Ebola Preparedness

More than 18,000 nurses in California are planning to strike for two days beginning Tuesday over concerns about how prepared they are to deal with Ebola. According to Bloomberg News, the strike would affect 21 hospital and 65 clinics, all owned by Kaiser Permanente.

Susan Sherman quit her job at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School in Louisville, Ken. this week after the school—fearing Ebola—demanded she take "precautionary leave" and place herself into 21-day quarantine following her mission trip to Kenya. There apparently was "strong parent concerns" that Sherman might have been exposed to Ebola, even though Kenya is on the opposite end of the continent from where the virus has been spreading.

As Ebola panic spreads in New York City, here's some good news: The two Dallas nurses who contracted the virus earlier this month are now free of the deadly disease. This morning, health officials in Maryland announced that Nina Pham, the first nurse diagnosed, has tested negative for Ebola. The announcement comes less than two days after the family of Amber Vinson—who first tested positive for the virus last week—said she had been declared virus-free.
