Though DJ AM was recently welcomed back to Hollywood with a bash fit for our putative next president, his friend Travis Barker remains in the hospital, still recovering from burns sustained from the plane crash that took the lives of their friends. Barker just took to Myspace to update his fans, extending both kudos to the hospital staff and a middle finger to hospital life in general. Also deserving of Barker's burned digit? The ex-wife who's begun to incur his ire, Shanna Moakler.Though press reports said Moakler flew to be with Barker when he was still in a Georgia burn unit, Barker complained (in a missive that was later edited out of his Myspace blog entry) that she hadn't been to visit him since he was moved to an LA hospital earlier this month. Now, the never press-shy Moakler is brushing off those comments and claiming that she was almost on that fateful flight:

DJ AM joined Jay-Z last night for the rapper's performance at the Palladium, handily shattering the world-record recovery time for returning to the stage after nearly burning to death in a plane crash. The concert came one night after the AM's (a/k/a Adam Goldstein) conquering-hero welcome at the Avalon, and mere hours after People nabbed his first interview since the Sept. 19 accident that claimed four lives and also critically burned his friend and flight partner Travis Barker:
♦ Are Madonna and Guy Ritchie really divorcing? It might be another rumor or really a Sun exclusive, but the British tabloid says they plan to announce the split as soon as today. [The Sun]

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker took to MySpace to let fans know how his recovery is going less than a month after he and DJ AM survived a plane crash that killed four—including his personal assistant Chris Baker, and security guard Charles "Che" Still—in South Carolina on Sept. 19. Barker, who was recently transferred from a Georgia hospital to an L.A. burn center says, among other things, that he's given up vegetarianism to aid in his recovery.
Everyone was thrilled, no doubt, to see DJ AM walk out of the hospital last week so soon after the plane crash that critically burned him and travel partner Travis Barker while killing four others. LA's especially excited DJ community has since organized a "welcome home" bash to be held Oct. 14 at the Avalon, but might have slightly overshot its appreciation with its accompanying posters featuring AM in flame-orange, Obama-influenced repose. Released from the hospital this past Friday, DJ AM yesterday made his first public appearance since the plane crash that claimed the lives of four people and left the musician and his friend Travis Barker badly burned. One of those victims was Chris "Lil' Chris" Baker, Barker's assistant, and it was his memorial service that drew DJ AM back into the public eye.

Well Wishes: Nine days after the tragic plane crash that left four dead, Travis Barker was released from the hospital this morning and is apparently headed home to Los Angeles. A spokesperson for the hospital told People that Barker was in "good condition." The drummer, 32, was being treated for burns on his torso and lower body at Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The only other survivor, DJ AM, wasreleased Friday. That same day, he updated his Facebook page to read, "Adam Goldstein [AM's real name] is the luckiest guy alive." Thankfully, both Barker and AM are expected to fully recover from their injuries. Recoveries: After that horrible plane crash last week, it seems the sole survivors DJ AM and Travis Barker are doing a little better. AM has been released from the hospital in Georgia and is on his way back to LA. His publicist says, “While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide. We ask that you continue to respect his privacy as he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends.” Meanwhile Jermaine Dupri just visited Travis in the hospital and told People Magazine all about it. “He's doing good, he's gonna be alright. He's just got a lot of healing to do,” says the producer. What’s more, Travis is getting his hospital room all tricked out with iPods and computers so he can be more comfortable. “He's supposed to send a message out to everybody in a couple of days to let everybody know that he's feeling better.” Glad to hear it. After the Friday morning jet crash that killed four people and left musicians Travis Barker and DJ AM badly burned and hospitalized, some good news: though both men are still in critical condition, the medical director of the Georgia burn center where they are being treated says they are expected to make full recoveries.

Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein are the sole survivors of a plane crash that killed four in South Carolina last night. The two are in critical condition today after the Learjet they were in crashed soon after takeoff. Air traffic controllers say they saw sparks shooting from the plane before it veered and crashed in a nearby road. Barker and Goldstein are being treated at a burn center in Augusta, GA. [ETOnline]
Dumping Nicole Richie turns out to have been a lousy career move for Adam Goldstein, otherwise known as DJ AM. Back when he was with Richie a couple of years ago, he was commanding six figures. Now?
