Kendra Wilkinson, the "Playboy cover model, television star and one of Hugh Hefner's three live-in girlfriends" earns front-page treatment today in the paper. Why? Because it seems she's too much of an Olive Garden fan: "To the consternation of Olive Garden's marketers, who have spent millions crafting the franchise's family-friendly image, the 23-year-old adult-entertainment star and aspiring real-estate mogul repeatedly uses her spotlight to rave about its midprice eateries." The substance that one cosmetics company is pretending will make your skin look better this time around? Caviar, as Joshua David Stein discovers at a press event for Pevonia Botanica, a brand which we're sure you don't need us to tell you is "spa exclusive" and "synergistically unite[s] science and nature." Caviar, you see, has the "same amino acids" as collagen, which is just as convincing as every other bit of pseudoscience in skincare ads, so who cares if you smell like a Russian breakfast?

Because an evening out didn't actually take place unless there's plenty of photographic evidence to prove it, some enterprising soul has invented a retro, communal photobooth with customizable backdrops, which we're guessing will be at parties everywhere soon enough. [CoolHunting]

It's her 39th birthday today, which makes her approximately 25 years older than the average Us reader. She isn't the only magazine star who will be munching on cake in the office today: Martha Nelson of People is 56. Other birthdays: Fidel Castro is 82, Danny Bonaduce is 49, and art maven (and heiress) Agnes Gund turns 70. And actor Sebastian Stan, who may be better known as Leighton Meester's boyfriend, turns 25.

• Jay-Z is in talks to sell a stake in his 40/40 club to the owners of Las Vegas' Venetian and Palazzo hotels for $44 million. The deal would also allow the club to expand to Europe, a continent clamoring for overpriced Cristal. [Page Six]

So about those Olympic opening ceremonies everyone has been talking about since Friday: Sorry to disappoint you but they were, like, totally fake. Okay, not all of it. Some of the fireworks were real. But some of them were filmed earlier in the day and other clips were digitally placed into the broadcast, and still others some were completely computer generated. Oh, and that super-cute little girl who sang Ode to the Motherland? She was actually just lip-synching, since Chinese officials decided the actual 7-year-old singer who had been slated to perform wasn't quite cute enough for prime time.
