The city of New York is concerned: bus ridership has been declining for years, even as subway use has been rising. Hey, why don’t you ride the bus?

For the Fung Wah Bus and its fans, the past two years have been a long and uncomfortable trip with seemingly arbitrary rest stops at a Burger King in New Jersey and maybe someone farting next to you or listening to music in really loud headphones. In December, the cheapo bus line said it was all set to resume NYC-to-Boston trips in early 2015, but now, it looks like it might never come back at all.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority voted on Thursday to raise the price of single-ride Metrocards on subways and buses by an additional 25 cents, making a trip anywhere in New York City cost $2.75. When will the madness stop?

A man in Lincoln, Nebraska was brutally beaten by a bus driver after asking the driver a question about the route of the bus. The video of the attack, which was released by the City of Lincoln, shows a 40-year-old man asking the driver a question. In the most inevitable news story today, the Fung Wah bus company has been told to pack their bags. After inspectors discovered cracks in the frames of several of the buses during a surprise inspection, the Boston to New York Chinatown bus service was asked to remove all vehicles manufactured before 2005.

Washington, DC transit officials launched an investigation on Tuesday after learning of a video that appears to show a Metrobus driver forcibly throwing a passenger off a bus and straight to the ground.
