Strange Snake-Shaped Object Appears Off the Coast of West Australia
No one can figure out where the strange snake-like image that recently popped up on an Australian meteorology radar map came from.
The snake is located about eighteen miles off the coast of west Australia and Bureau of Meteorology staffers say it's not a cloud.
"The radar that we use are there for the detection of precipitation, it's basically just a beam going out and hitting the rain droplets or ice particles from hail... Sometimes the beam itself rather than going straight it gets bent back to earth and you start to pick up reflections from the ocean, rather than rain droplets."
The Australian Department of Defense declined to respond to ABC News about whether the radar could be picking up military exercises.
