Solange Frustratingly Quiet About Jay Z Elevator Scuffle
In the August issue of Lucky Magazine, a publication where teenage girls shop for jean shorts and Keds, singer Solange Knowles finally "addresses" her scuffle with brother-in-law and rapper Jay Z. The singer describes the brawl as "that thing."
The full quote, blocked out in grey to express its pure mundanity, is here:
"What's important is that my family and I are all good," she said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
The statement Solange and co. had released before regarding the incident, reveals shades of the same:
"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
Hollywood Life describes Solange's first interview since the fight as "shocking."
A more interesting point in the cover story is that the singer's current obsession is color-blocking. "Color-blocking is the singer's current obsession," the story says, and like that, it's said enough.
