Katie Francis, a sixth-grader from Oklahoma City, has broken the record for number of Girl Scout cookies sold—ever. Avert your eyes if you're feeling undervalued today. Her sales were to the tune of 18,000 boxes, which she sold by asking "everyone she knows to buy them."

The last Girl Scout to even grace that number was Elizabeth Brinton in the 1980s, so breaking the challenge has taken over thirty years. Francis's sales methodology seems simple enough in theory—"a lot of time, a lot of commitment and asking everyone she meets to buy"—but really, who are we kidding? Cookies over profit.
