Sarah Palin Boldly Claims That Someone's Else's Political Career Is Over
Using the phrase “know your place” when referring to a woman is almost unequivocally inappropriate. But in this particular case, regarding former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, it is the only phrase that comes to mind.
The one-time vice presidential hopeful was for some reason invited on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, where she took the opportunity to spew some punditry about her opposition to House Speaker Paul Ryan. Ryan has said he’s “not ready” to back Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump for the nomination.
“His political career is over, but for a miracle, because he has disrespected the will of the American people...Paul Ryan and his ilk, their problem is they have become so disconnected from the people they were elected to represent. Their problem is they feel so threatened at this point that their power, their prestige, their purse will be adversely affected by this change that is coming with Trump.”
What an interesting way to phrase it, saying that someone’s “political career is over”—especially from someone whose greatest political achievement in the past year was endorsing a shriveled apricot for president:
