A speeding driver who was endangering the lives of children in Norfolk, Virginia, was expressing his displeasure at being told to slow down by brandishing a gun, when the weapon accidentally discharged and struck him in the groin.

According to a police report, Rhonney Jacobs, 43, was racing down Red Brooke Road, when his neighbors flagged him down and asked him to watch out for kids playing nearby.

Witnesses say Jacobs responded by pulling out a .45-caliber gun and aiming it at residents.

Some reports suggest Jacobs may have physically engaged one of the neighbors, which in turn caused the gun to go off, striking Jacobs in his special place.

"He was holding his groin and there was blood everywhere," a neighbor told NewsChannel 3.

Jacobs was rushed to a hospital for treatment and later arrested on charges of brandishing a firearm and discharging a firearm.
