A Houston restaurant manager issued an apology after two customers complained about a gay server by writing "Don't want to listen to a faggot through my whole meal," on their receipt. She said "I'm sorry" to the asshole customers.

The waiter, 19-year-old Blake Butler, said it was "disgusting" that his boss at Kelley's Country Cookin' apparently cared more about the homophobes' dining experience than she did about protecting her own staff.

"Instead of having my back and be like, you know, 'That's my employee. I can't have you talking about my employees like that.' She was like, 'Oh. It's OK. I'm sorry,'" Butler told ABC 13.

Butler felt the incident was serious enough to speak out about, but he had to come out as gay to his parents first, because he didn't want them to find out by watching the news.

He no longer works at the restaurant. He says he was fired after the incident. The owner of Kelley's claims Butler quit, and says that if he had been there personally, he would have confronted the angry customer.
