It's a been a tough week for blonde teenagers who pose for Facebook photos with dead African animals. First, 19-year-old big-game hunter Kendall Jones had her photos of trophy leopards, elephants and rhinos scrubbed from Facebook after an internet backlash. Now the career of a 17-year-old Belgian model, discovered in the crowd at the World Cup, might be over before it begins because of her own hunting photos.

Hamas leaders promised a "long battle" with Israel on Friday: "We have prepared ourselves for a very long battle, not for a week or 10 days, as some have said, but for many long weeks," the group said in a statement.

Chinese state media are reporting that a bus transporting kindergarteners home crashed into a pond in the Hunan province, leaving eight children and three adults dead. The Xinhua News Agency is reporting that an investigation has been launched and that the bus was carrying 11 when it could only seat seven.

According to prosecutors, the man behind yesterday's grisly shooting in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas forced his way into Stephen and Katie Stay's home, tied them and their five children up, and made them lie face-down before shooting them "execution-style." Police arrested Ronald Lee Haskell, 33, last night after a chase and an hours-long standoff. He has been charged with one count of capital murder.
