Al Gore Shuns Rick Perry, Outs the Host on Colbert Report
Matt Cherette · 09/13/11 11:53PMStephen Colbert welcomed former Vice President Al Gore to the Report tonight for a wide-ranging chat—just kidding, it was mostly about global warming because, duh, Al Gore. That notwithstanding, the interview did have two standout moments, including Gore's refusal to reciprocate Rick Perry's 1988 endorsement of him, as well as a conversation about Keith Olbermann that ended with Gore accidentally "outing" Colbert as a character. Here are both of them in one video.

Matt Cherette · 09/13/11 10:52PMLast night, CNN teamed up with the Tea Party Express for yet another debate between the remaining 2012 Republican presidential candidates. But before the debate audience could get to cheering for the death of uninsured Americans, Wolf Blitzer spent way too much time on introductory pomp and circumstance. So just like he did the last time CNN hosted a debate, Jon Stewart mocked the network's focus on style over substance on tonight's Daily Show.

After four months undercover at an Irish Traveller camp in the Bedfordshire county of England, British authorities rescued 24 people they believe to be slaves—but only 15 agreed to rescue. The other nine denied being slaves and returned to the camp. What is going on at the Greenacre Caravan Park of Leighton Buzzard?
