The plane debris found last week off an island in the western Indian Ocean belongs to missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak confirmed at a press conference this afternoon.

The six-foot piece of debris was found last Wednesday off the coast of Reunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean.

“The international team of experts have conclusively confirmed that the aircraft debris found on Reunion Island is indeed from MH370,” Najib said during the conference, according to Reuters.

UPDATE 2:34 pm: French officials still haven’t confirmed that the debris is from MH370.
