Two 14-year-old girls at Pasadena High School near Houston took their fight—allegedly over a boy—to the park across the street from their school this past Tuesday. One girl's mother brought a gun.

Police arrested Viridiana Alvarez after she was filmed and photographed by other students watching the fight pull a gun from her purse and aim it at Victoria Myers' head. Campus police, KFOR reports, were able to break up the brawl before anyone was seriously hurt.

Ted Myers, Victoria's father, told KHOU he learned of the fight, and Alvarez pointing the gun at his daughter, through social media. "I literally, my stomach dropped," he told the TV station.
"I got nauseous and shaky."

Victoria Myers, meanwhile, didn't even realize Alvarez was pointing a gun at her. "I didn't know she had a gun until after I saw a picture of the fight afterward," she told KHOU.

According to KPRC, Alvarez, 33, told police the gun was never loaded, and was only intended to "scare" Victoria Myers. She is in Harris County jail on an aggravated assault charge.
