Man Beheads Coworker in Oklahoma Factory Attack

A man allegedly beheaded a woman following a workplace dispute at a Vaughn Foods processing plant in Moore, Okla., Thursday afternoon, KFOR reports. The man, identified as 30-year-old Alton Alexander Nolen, apparently tried to kill another woman on the premises, but was shot by an off-duty police officer employed by the plant.
Officials told KFOR that there are "no immediate indications of a link to terrorism." According to the Daily Oklahoman, one woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the other was confirmed as having suffered multiple stab wounds, and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Nolen is expected to survive.
Update, 3:15 p.m.: According to KFOR, Nolen had just been fired from the plant when he attacked two women Thursday. Police told the news station that Nolen walked into the building's front office and attacked Colleen Hufford, 54, with a knife, stabbing her multiple times before beheading her. After killing Hufford, he then reportedly turned to Traci Johnson, 43, and began attacking her with the same knife.
Mark Vaughan, an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and a former CEO of the business, stopped Nolen's attack on Hufford after he fired on him multiple times, the Norman Transcript reports.
"This suspect (Nolen) was angry about some sort of incident that happened at the business," Sgt. Jeremy Lewis of the Moore Police Department told the paper. "These women really had nothing to do with that. He was just acting out against them. They are the first people he came in contact with."
