Man Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Someone for 100 Retweets
A Los Angeles man who wanted to be Twitter-famous got what he asked for, along with a charge for making criminal threats.
"100 RTs and I'll shoot someone walking," Dakkari McAnuff wrote on Twitter Wednesday, captioning a photo that appeared to show a rifle positioned on a balcony, aimed at pedestrians below.
Police were able to trace the tweet to McAnuff's home in downtown L.A., where they arrested him. He remains in jail pending $50,000 bail, and his Twitter account, @stilldmc, has been suspended.
The LAPD also found the weapon seen in the photo: It was an air rifle.
