On Tuesday, a lucky convenience store worker in Wheat Ridge, Colo., was spared a stickup when the guy who was planning to clean him out recognized his face. "(Expletive)," the would-be robber allegedly said (What expletive?). "I was going to rob this place, but I know you."

"Do you know me?" the assailant then asked, the clerk told Denver's KMGH. When the clerk replied that he didn't recognize the bandana-wearing intruder, the man gave an elaborate series of positive-looking hand gestures ending with a thumbs-up and walked out, giving a second thumbs-up through the window as he casually fled.

Denver police are apparently still trying to find and arrest the friendly neighborhood holdup artist, which seems unnecessarily harsh.
