Eight Children Killed in Mass Stabbing in Australia
Eight young children were stabbed to death in a gruesome attack on a Queensland, Australia home today.
Police in the town of Cairns reportedly responded to an emergency call about an injured woman at the residence around 11:30 a.m., where they discovered her with eight dead children ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years.
The nature of the injuries the woman—reportedly the mother of the slain children—suffered is still unclear. Local police declined to explain, saying the investigation is still in its early stages.
The woman is reportedly assisting the officers with the case.
