“Had a record crowd in Boone, Iowa,” Donald Trump captioned a photo taken in Ames, Iowa, and uploaded to Facebook, with the student section at Saturday’s football game between Iowa State and Iowa Universities. Wrong on both counts!

The game was played at Iowa State’s Jack Trice Stadium, which Trump referred to in a now-deleted tweet as “Jack Truce” stadium. The record attendance for a single game at Jack Trice Stadium was set earlier this month in the Cyclones’ victory over Northern Iowa, at which some 61,500 people were in attendance.

As it happened, Trump was more than an hour late for his scheduled appearance on Saturday. When he finally did arrive to make his speech, he said that he doesn’t think rival Ben Carson “has the energy” to be president, which is some of the most spectacularly coded language you will ever find, but is especially funny when you learn that, according to the New York Times, Trump’s speech lasted less than a minute.

One wonders: just how full of shit can a single person be?
