On Wednesday, Donald Trump slammed Hillary Clinton for allowing Seddique Mateen, father of Orlando shooter Omar Mateen, to sit behind her at a recent rally while himself standing in front of disgraced congressman Mark Foley, who resigned amid allegations that he sent sexually explicit messages to teenage boys.

“Wasn’t it terrible when the father of the animal that killed the wonderful people in Orlando was sitting with a big smile on his face right behind Hillary Clinton?” said Trump at a rally in Florida. “When you get those seats, you sorta know the campaign. So when she said, ‘Well, we didn’t know.’ He knew, they knew.”

Speaking to the Sun-Sentinel, Foley—who allegedly once asked an underage congressional page if he “spank[ed] it” with his “cute butt bouncing in the air”—said he admired Trump for his reluctance to “parse words” or “check with consultants.”

“I’ve been a friend of Mr. Trump’s since 1987,” said Foley. “I’ve admired so much of what he’s done. He’s a different breed of leader and a different reed of candidate.”

Foley told the paper he got the seat by arriving at the rally early early.
