Chelsea Clinton, scion of a former president and a possible future one—and more recently, vice-chair of the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation—has announced she's pregnant, according to CNN's Robert Yoon.

She made the announcement Thursday at a Clinton Foundation event on the Lower East Side.

"I just hope that I will be as good a mom to my child and hopefully children as my mom was to me," she said.

The Stanford and Oxford-educated Clinton, 34, worked at consulting firm McKinsey & Company before taking a more active role in the foundation that now bears her name. She recently made news by saying she hasn't ruled out following in her parents' footsteps and running for public office one day.

Clinton married her husband, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, in 2010.
