Gilberto "Cannibal Cop" Valle, the former NYPD officer convicted of conspiring to kill and eat dozens of women, has become quite the chef in prison, according to his mother.

"He has mastered making pizza," Elizabeth Valle told the New York Daily News, adding that his food is so good even the guards have become fans. She said the prison kitchen workers don't hold a grudge against the former cop; in fact, she claims they regularly crack jokes about her son's attempted cannibalism. "Don't stand too close to the oven, and that kind of thing," she said.

Of course, we shouldn't be surprised that Cannibal Cop knows a thing or two about cooking.

Valle was convicted more than a year ago, but has yet to be sentenced; if his conviction is upheld, he faces life in prison.
