Bored Teen Tired of Playing Xbox, Trades House Arrest for Prison
A 19-year-old from the Northland region of New Zealand who has been on house arrest for past 10 months says he grown "sick of playing Xbox" and prefers to be in prison.
The New Zealand Herald reports that the teen, who has one month left on his detention, told police in Whangarei that he would break the terms of his arrest if not allowed to trade in his room for a cell.
According to Senior Constable Paul Nicholas, the teen was bored, having "run out of Xbox games to play."
Though the request is a bizarre one for sure, it's worth noting that Ngawha Prison, where the teen is now locked up, reportedly has both Xboxes and PlayStations.
