On Tuesday, obscure Vermont politician Bernie Sanders won Indiana’s Democratic primary, not that anyone seems to have noticed.

On the night of his surprise victory, both Republicans and Democrats largely ignored the candidate in favor of discussing presumptive presidential nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

After Ted Cruz announced he was ending his campaign, RNC chairman Rince Priebus told Republicans to “unite and focus on defeating Hillary.” And asked about Indiana’s primary on Tuesday, Clinton told NBC News, “I’m really focused on moving into the general election.”

As Indiana’s delegates are awarded proportionately, they will be divided about evenly between Clinton and Sanders, making his win a largely symbolic victory. Still, it would be nice to acknowledge that Carly Fiorina wasn’t the only person with something to celebrate Tuesday night.
