A woman hoping to represent the ultranationalist One Nation party in next month's Australian federal election could be disqualified if convicted of charges stemming from an anti-Muslim vandalism campaign she participated in recently.

But if there were any real justice in the world, Stephanie Banister's mind-blinking interview with Channel Seven would disqualify her way before then.

The 27-year-old mother of two from Queensland was asked to defend some of her more controversial views regarding Islam and her opposition to halal food.

What followed was a verbal trainwreck that would make even hardcore Muslim-haters blush.

"I don't oppose Islam as a country, but I do feel that their laws should not be welcome here in Australia," the woman referred to as Australia's Sarah Palin told the reporter.

She went on to use the word "haram" as a catchall for every other Islamic term besides "haram," claim Jews follow Jesus Christ, and wrongly assert that kosher food doesn't carry a tax where as "haram" food does (in fact, both do).

After being widely ridiculed for her comments, Banister today said her words were "twisted" and taken out of context, making her out to be "a stand-up criminal and a stupid moron."
