A 9-year-old rapper who goes by "Lil Poopy" and whose music videos include sexually suggestive scene and references to drug use has received a visit from Massachusetts child welfare authorities after an anonymous individual phoned the police to express concern for his well being.

Lil Poopy — real name Luie Rivera Jr. — who is also known as the "Cocaine Cowboy," is a member of French Montana's Coke Boys, and has appeared in a video with P. Diddy and Rick Ross. He's also opened shows for Waka Flocka Flame, Meek Mill, and Wale, and is reportedly compensated about $7,500 a gig.

According to CNN, Lil Poopy's more controversial antics include "smacking a woman's backside, flashing wads of cash, riding in a Ferrari and rapping about how 'coke [ain't] a bad word.'"

Luie Rivera, Poopy's father, calls the allegations of neglect and abuse absurd.

"I love my son, I adore my son," he told the Boston Herald. "He's not doing anything wrong. He's not doing drugs, he's not drinking alcohol. There are other kids out there killing kids, doing drugs, molesting. He's just singing hooks. He's not hurting anyone."

Rivera says Poopy lives in Brockton with his mother and goes to school every day. "The kid's got talent, why are they so worried about him rapping?" he said.

Rivera's lawyer shares his client's indignation. "I find this absolutely absurd. I find it racially tinged. And I'm hoping that when their department takes a look at it, that this doesn't go any further," said Joseph Krowski.

But the investigation is moving forward, according to Department of Children and Families spokesperson Cayenne Isaksen.

"An investigation is now open," Isaksen said, noting that non-emergency reviews typically last about two weeks and will include interviews with everyone who regularly comes into contact with the fourth grader.

"The filers of this report wanted to make sure the child is being properly cared for," Isaksen told WCVB. "So the department will look into all aspects of this.
