A former child actor best remembered for being the original voice of Charlie Brown and providing the Peanuts character with his trademark "AAUGH!" was arrested Sunday evening upon reentering the United States from Mexico through the San Ysidro Port of Entry after border protection authorities learned he had an outstanding warrant in San Diego County.

Peter Robbins was charged with four felony counts of making a threat to cause death or great bodily injury and one felony count of stalking. He is set to be arraigned in a San Diego court today.

A spokeswoman for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department told U-T San Diego she was unable to provide additional details, but Robbins' manager told the paper a comment was forthcoming.

According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection representative, all five felony charges are for crimes against a single person.

The 56-year-old Robbins was just 9 when he was tapped to voice the main character in an animated adaptation of Charles Schulz's iconic comic strip.

Though his tenure only lasted four years, he did manage to leave his mark on the some of the better known Peanuts films, including A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

UPDATE: Court documents show that Robbins' charges apparently stem from two separate incidents — one involving a plastic surgeon whom he threatened to "break in half" over an allegedly botched procedure performed on his girlfriend, and another involving a police officer whom he threatened with physical harm after allegedly dining and dashing at a restaurant in La Jolla.
