Here's What We Know About the Connecticut School Shooter (UPDATED: Diddly Squat)
Here's what we know about the shooter: still very little. Although the shooter was initially identified as Ryan Lanza, the Connecticut State Police won't yet identify his identity because there continues to be an "active ongoing investigation" with "a lot of things we cannot confirm or discuss yet." The Post is reporting that the shooter was actually Adam Lanza, Ryan's brother.
As of 3:45 pm today, the local police have confirmed these details:
- 18 children and six adults were found dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Two other children were transported to the hospital and died.
- The shooter is deceased in the school.
- There is a secondary crime scene in Newtown, Connecticut, where an unidentified adult is deceased.
- The shootings were concentrated in one area of the school, two rooms.
Holy shit.
