Ex-Girlfriend from Hell Phones Ex-Boyfriend Hundreds of Times a Day, Runs Over His Mother
Months of harassment and stalking came to a tragic conclusion last week for an Austin man after his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend allegedly ran over his mother with her car.
Elizabeth Segundo McClain was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and stalking, and was also ordered to remain at least 200 yards away from her ex-boyfriend at all times and wear a GPS monitor.
After McClain and her "on-again off-again" boyfriend of three years broke up for good in September, the 25-year-old man asked her never to contact him again. Instead, however, the man claims McClain phoned him as much as 750 times in a single day, and texted him constantly.
She also threatened to cause him and his family physical harm, and on one occasion put sugar in his gas tank.
He attempted to block her calls and change his number, but she ultimately found workarounds. Even multiple police reports served as little deterrent to McClain's harassment.
On November 26th, after sending her ex-boyfriend 50 blank texts, McClain informed the man she had just struck his mother with her car, following it up with another text message: "How's Life LOL."
According to a police affidavit, the unidentified mother had gone outside to find McClain in the driveway and told her to leave. As the woman was attempting to retrieve the car's license plate number, McClain suddenly backed up and ran her over, causing her to sustain several broken bones and a serious flesh wound.
She was still in the Intensive Care Unit as of Saturday.
McClain had apparently been stalking her ex-boyfriend's mother as well prior to the incident, calling her at least 180 times over the post-Thanksgiving weekend. She had filed a complaint with police, but no action was taken.
