Jon Bon Jovi's Teenaged Daughter Was Arrested for Heroin Possession (After an Alleged Dorm Room Overdose)
Jon Bon Jovi's 19-year-old daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi (interesting) had a very bad Wednesday morning. TMZ reports that she kicked things off with an alleged heroin overdose, followed by, in a stunning coincidence, an arrest for drug possession.
Bongiovi (seriously, will not get old) is a student at Hamilton College in Upstate New York. Police were summoned to her dorm room after receiving a call reporting that someone had overdosed on heroin and was unresponsive. When cops and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, Stephanie was found alive. That's the good news.
The bad news is that a drug task force's search of the scene turned up "a small quantity" of heroin, as well as marijuana and "drug paraphernalia."
Bongiovi was arrested for three misdemeanors: possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. She has since been released from custody, and is scheduled to appear at court at a later date. (A 21-year-old male student in the dorm room was also arrested.)
Here's a statement regarding the incident from Hamilton College:
"In addition to violating state law, the actions alleged to have been committed by the students violate Hamilton College policy. The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters."
Inside sources report that Bongiovi previously dated (or is dating) "a white guy with dreads." So it sounds like she's really using college as a time to explore.
