Thailand's Tiger Temple Invites Tourists to Poke Big Cats with Sticks, Hope for the Best
Tiger Temple is a Theravada Buddhist temple in Thailand that is ostensibly a wildlife sanctuary, but, in actuality, is something far less reputable.
The temple has been condemned by dozens of animal rights groups around the world for its controversial conservation tactics.
And it's no surprise why: In recently recorded footage, Temple visitors can be seen standing with temple staffers inside a tiger enclosure, teasing the animals with sticks and plastic bags, purportedly as part of a daily excercise regimen.
