Is there anything millenials can't ruin? Harvard University used to be a fairly well-respected Boston-area school. But now that they've been letting millenials in? "Harvard College's disciplinary board is investigating nearly half of the 279 students who enrolled in Government 1310: "Introduction to Congress" last spring for allegedly plagiarizing answers or inappropriately collaborating on the class' final take-home exam."

What happened here, Harvard kids? Apparently an Administrative Board review of the take-home exams — spurred by Professor Matthew B. Platt "noticing similarities in 10 to 20 exams" — uncovered 125 "suspicious" essays. All the students have been contacted; apparently the worst possible punishment is that "could be required to withdraw from the College for a year," which, well, I wouldn't complain if someone said I wasn't allowed to live in Cambridge for a year, you know?

I've heard some chatter that the problem wasn't plagiarism strictly speaking, but that the professor encouraged students to collaborate without being clear about how extensive the collaboration could be. Know anything else? Email me: max@gawker.com.
