Mitt Romney Introduces Paul Ryan as the 'Next President of the United States'

Before Mitt Romney introduced Paul Ryan as his Vice President, Romney introduced him as the "next President of the United States."

That's either an awkward flub, or Mitt Romney knows something we don't. (Conspiracy theorists, have at it.) Either way, he corrected his statement, returning to the stage during Ryan's speech.

Every now and then I'm known to make a mistake. I did not make a mistake with this guy. But I can tell you this — he's gonna be the next Vice President of the United States.

Cue unsettling Paul Ryan laughter.
