While some choose to debate about gun control or the state of healthcare for the mentally ill, other stalwart truthseekers have made it their mission to get to the bottom of James Holmes' massacre at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises.

And when it comes to the internet, we know what's at the bottom of everything — conspiracy theories.

"I believe the Obama administration is behind this."
In a post on Conservatives4Palin.com ("Just the facts"), user mark1955 heads to the Aurora shooting open thread to make his case.

Commenting on yesterday's massacre in Aurora,Colorado. I'm gonna catch heck for this, but i am going to say it anyway's. I believe the Obama administration is behind this.

Not one week from the rumored Obama signing of the UN Gun Ban Treaty,on Friday the 27th and Obama is 'Gift Wrapped' this horrific slaughter, that he can take and use to Obliterate our God given Second Ammendment Right's. Bulshe! This ain't no coincidence!

Now hear him out. Mark has good reason to believe the official story is "bulshe."

They can't realize any of their plans to enslave and then murder us,in order to destroy the United States of America as founded, unless they take our Firearms away. This is an administration that thought nothing about creating a program like,'Fast and Furious',specifically designed to result in the murder of 300 mexicans and two American Border Patrol Agents, to see their goal of taking away our Firearms so we can't defend ourselves. You think they would have any qualms about murdering little children in a theatre? They wouldn't. At the foundation of statism is mass genocide. It's what they feed off of.

Mark's other evidence: James Holmes' mother didn't seem surprised that her son was a mass murderer. "It was a little too quick," he notes. And don't think this is the last massacre the Obama administration will orchestrate.

Finally,as revealed above with their,"By any means necessary plans" as we get closer to the elections ( Which i don't believe Obama wants to have take place ),expect more deliberately horrors like yesterday, increasing in frequency and body count, as justification to suspend elections and take away our Rights.

"Virginiagentleman1" responded that he once would have called Mark crazy — even suggested he seek treatment for his conspiracy theory. "But so much has changed in America," the commenter concludes, "all bets are off."

"Someone else taught this guy these skills and funded the acquisition of the equipment."
The editor of Natural News, Mike Adams, doesn't go so far as to name Obama, but his argument amounts to the same: James Holmes was hired and trained by the U.S. government for the express purpose of taking away your guns.

Adams doesn't think Holmes' actions make sense — why did he wear a bulletproof vest? Why did he tell police about the bomb at his apartment? ("If you were really an evil-minded Joker trying to kill people [including cops], why would you warn them about the booby trap in advance? It doesn't add up.") While such "inconsistencies" could easily be attributed to psychosis or misreported facts, the author has a more reasonable explanation: this was all government coercion.

There is already conjecture that James Holmes may have been involved in mind-altering neuroscience research and ended up becoming involved at a depth he never anticipated. His actions clearly show a strange detachment from reality, indicating he was not in his right mind. That can only typically be accomplished through drugs, hypnosis or trauma (and sometimes all three).

Adams' primary evidence seems to be that Holmes could never have acquired all of this equipment on his own. He comes up with the dubious figure of $20,000, which yes, would be difficult for a failed med student to spend. Adams jumps to the most logical conclusion — and you're an idiot if you don't see it.

In other words, this guy was equipped with exotic gear by someone with connections to military equipment. SWAT clothing, explosives, complex booby-traps... c'mon, this isn't a "lone gunman." This is somebody who was selected for a mission, given equipment to carry it out, then somehow brainwashed into getting it done.

C'mon.

Now, stick with him — given that Holmes was obviously brainwashed and supplied with weapons, doesn't it follow that someone in the government is responsible? Again, Adams doesn't name names, but he does once more invoke "Fast and Furious" as evidence that the current administration will do anything in their power to destroy the Second Amendment.

This has all the signs of Fast & Furious, Episode II. I wouldn't be surprised to discover someone in Washington was behind it all. After all, there's no quicker way to disarm a nation and take total control over the population than to stage violence, blame it on firearms, then call for leaders to "do something!" Such calls inevitably end up resulting in gun confiscation, and it's never too long after that before government genocide really kicks in like we saw with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao and other tyrants.

He's not saying Obama is Hitler. He's just saying.

"The city officials of Aurora actually created an environment in which victims would be unarmed and at a considerable disadvantage against an armed attack."
But wait, there's more.

Adams returned with a disgusting article in which he essentially blamed the victims for not doing more: "Why did no one fight back?" Sure, the scene was dark and chaotic and filled with smoke, but it's just impossible that no one even tried to take down the gunman. (Maybe they were too busy protecting their loved ones.) Seriously, though, Adams is terrible.

A baby was shot at point blank range, the family were gathered around screaming.

Huh?

If the baby was shot at point blank range, that means the shooter was right there beside them. Instead of gathering around and screaming, why didn't the family tackle the shooter?

Adams swear he's not blaming the victims, right before he goes on to say "they let him do it." And they had plenty of opportunities to stop him, as Adams helpfully explains—

To fire 100+ rounds of ammunition from any weapon requires multiple reloads, each of which takes several seconds to carry out. There would have been long pauses in the shooting. There has even been a report that the AR-15 rifle used by the shooter jammed, which would have created an even longer pause.

These pauses are opportunities to bum rush the guy, or shoot back, or throw something at him, or just punch him right in the jaw with everything you've got. Holding a gun does not make you invincible. If anything, it makes you very, very vulnerable to all sorts of attacks.

It's all meaningless speculation: by the end, Adams' argument is essentially that Americans have been terrorized into fear, meaning they will sit down and take it instead of fighting back. As far as I can tell, his point is that if he'd been there, things would have gone differently, because Adams is not part of the "culture of passive victims."

Adams was forced to update his story when it was revealed that Aurora, Colorado does not allow citizens to carry concealed weapons. This helps him arrive at his next bullshit conclusion, "In Aurora Colorado, it is illegal to stop a massacre."

It is astonishing that cities like Aurora, Colorado do not allow citizens to protect themselves against violence. The deaths of those 12 victims rest squarely on the officials of the city of Aurora who deliberately created an environment of total helplessness that directly led to the unnecessary deaths of innocent people, including young women and children.

"Deliberately" is the key word here. The implication isn't just that Aurora is responsible for taking innocent people's guns away — it's that they wanted this massacre to happen.

"Aurora is considered to be the mother of the morning star, also know as the Light Bringer, or Lucifer."
On the surface, this post on The Vigilant Citizen is the same kind of crazy Adams is spouting: James Holmes was a "mind-controlled patsy."

But here's where it goes from crazy to extra crazy.

Is there some kind of ritualistic connection between The Dark Knight, the sacrificial death of Heath Ledger and this new installment of a Batman movie that was "launched" with a mass murder? Is there a reason why this mass-murder, which occurred during the midnight screening of a movie called Dark Knight RISING took place in a city called Aurora, the name Roman goddess of dawn (dawn being the time where the sun begins to rise)? Another interesting fact: Aurora is considered to be the mother of the morning star, also know as the Light Bringer, or Lucifer.

Really using the term "interesting fact" loosely there.

Yes, this was a "mega-ritual carried out by the occult elite and its mass media appendage." As we all know, blood sacrifice is an important part of these rituals, and the more witnesses, "the more potency it gains."

And if you want to see things take a turn from extra crazy to certifiable, check out the comments. Of course, the Illuminati get namechecked.

Sometimes I don't want to believe it was the Illuminati. Sometimes, I would rather just accept that this was a mere coincidence. But everywhere I turn, every fucking time, there's symbolism jam-packed into the event in question. Not only that, but it's only the events that have said symbolism that get covered by the mass media for days on end. I wonder why…

It spirals from there. There's lots of talk of numerology and impossible coincidences (Katie HOLMES and James HOLMES, holy shit). Then there's the symbolism of "Colorado."

Also, are you aware that the word ‘colorado' actually means: ‘red color' i,e, blood? I found that bit of info quite appropriate considering all that goes on there. Columbine shooting, JonBenet, Aurora shooting, not to mention the bizarre Denver International Airport murals.

One more observation here, 12 victims, 2+1=3.

Cool observation.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. A basic Google search of "Aurora shooting conspiracy" pulls up several pages of results. Perhaps it's not satisfying to accept James Holmes as a man who lost touch with reality and committed a horrifying act of violence. Why fear a random gunman when you can fear the government as a whole?

Also, Lil Wayne.
