The internet is abuzz with rumors that Jackson family matriarch Katherine Jackson is M.I.A. — and with good reason. Late last night, her nephew reported that she was missing.

This morning, Michael Jackson's daughter Paris expressed her concern on Twitter: "yes , my grandmother is missing . i haven't spoken with her in a week i want her home now ."

But there seems to be some confusion in the Jackson family. Two days ago, Jermaine Jackson said his mother was resting in Arizona.

On Wednesday, Jackson kids Janet, Jermaine, Randy, Tito, and Rebbie alleged that Katherine Jackson was being mistreated by the executors of Michael Jackson's estate. Since then, Katherine's lawyer Sandra Ribera said that her client's grandchildren, including Paris, have not been able to reach Katherine for the past several days. "I'm concerned that she's not safe," Ribera admitted.

This morning's statement by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, however, is confusing.

Katherine Jackson is reportedly with family members. Late Saturday night, a different family member reported that he was unable to speak with her and is concerned for her well being. Deputies are continuing to make efforts to reach her and ask that she contact the Malibu / Lost Hills Sheriff's Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

It's still unclear if Katherine Jackson is actually missing, or if this is the result of conflict and miscommunication within the Jackson family. Either way, let's hope she gives Paris a call soon.
