Depending on which outlets you read, Sage Stallone, who was found dead yesterday, was a passionate, outgoing film enthusiast with immediate plans to marry his girlfriend.

Or, if you believe the other accounts, he was a hermit living a Howard Hughes-like existence, which is why his body wasn't found for at least three days.

All that's really certain: Sage Stallone was an eccentric artist and much loved by his parents, actor Sylvester Stallone and Sasha Czack. Any other reports seem to contradict previous information.

Like the fact that Sage Stallone had been dead for three days before his body was found? Impossible, according to lawyer and friend George Braunstein. Photos of Stallone at home were posted to his Facebook page 17 hours before he was found. Unless he learned how to update from beyond the grave, Stallone must have been dead for less than a day.

You'll recall that Braunstein previously denied that his client ever drank or used drugs.

Robert Rhine, editor of the magazine Girls and Corpses, has a different impression of Stallone based on a photoshoot they did at Stallone's house. According to Rhine, Stallone was "on something," slurring his words and stumbling.

Rhine told TMZ that the Stallone's room was, in fact, the mess it had been made out to be. (TMZ stands by its report of numerous pill bottles found at the scene.)

While some insist the media is painting an unfair picture of Sage Stallone, Rhine finds the apparent surprise over his death to be distressing.

What's troubling is the fact that the people around him claim there were no signs. I saw the signs. When everyone from the shoot heard the news, none of us were surprised.

Are friends and family just trying to protect Stallone's memory, or were there two vastly divergent sides to this complicated person?
