A three-year-old boy riding through a busy intersection in the eastern Chinese city of Wenzhou was rescued by a policeman after a few close calls with oncoming cars.

Asked where he was going, the toddler said he was on his way to see his mother, an employee at a nearby KFC. He had apparently been left in the care of his grandfather, and slipped out while the latter was in the bathroom.

Zhang, the policeman, learned that the child had made it 1.3 miles from his home before being stopped.

The boy insisted he was not scared, but the same can't be said of the grandfather, who reportedly found the policeman and the tot on his own while running around in search of his grandson.
