Considering that Mother's Day founder Anna Jarvis ended up rejecting her creation due to the holiday's hyper-commercialization, and spent the rest of her life campaigning against it, one might assume she would have bone to pick with anyone who took Hooters up on their special Mother's Day offer of free boneless wings for moms.

Still, their wings are small nuggets of butter-Nirvana; and moms do get ten free pieces "tossed in their favorite sauce"; and Hooters does employ a lot of women who may or may not be mothers. So maybe Jarvis would give them a pass.

Hooters is showing appreciation to all moms for all that they do to make this world a better place by serving up our signature menu item for free. All day on Sunday, May 13th moms who dine in at Hooters will receive an order of 10 boneless chicken wings tossed in their favorite sauce for free!

As Eater points out, if your mom has a favorite Hooters wing sauce, she already knows you're taking her to Hooters for Mother's Day.
