Put Down That Pistol, Glendale: Kim Kardashian Can't Be Your Next Mayor
In an outtake from Khole Kardashian's E! reality show Khloe & Lamar, big sister Kim revealed a diabolical plan to force the people of Glendale, California, to submit to her nefarious whims by becoming their mayor.
Kim claims in the video that she plans to buy a house in the LA County city in order to establish residency, which she says is a requirement for mayoral candidates. If all goes as diabolically planed, Kim intends to rule over The Jewel City "in, like, five years."
But the Glendale News-Press has some good news for its residents: There's no need to enter into a suicide pact just yet.
Kim's road to that Mayor's Mansion is frought with speed bumps. For instance: Glendale doesn't elect its mayor.
Another problem for Kim: "It's going to require a little bit of homework and not simply relying on a perceived base of support," says city clerk Ardy Kassakhian, who explained that the role of mayor is "largely ceremonial," and rotates annually among Glendale's five City Council members.
If Kim's still interested, Councilman Ara Najarian volunteered to help the socialite become better acquainted with the city's various financial and social issues, and even offered her the title "honorary chief of staff."
When reached for comment, Kim will probably respond, "I had no idea you had to know stuff. Pass."
