Did you know that, a couple weeks ago, creator of Girls and voice of her or a generation Lena Dunham recounted to fashion wunderkind Tavi Gevinson's website, Rookie, the story of how she lost her virginity?

Well, here you go.

The tale was posted as part of a feature called Absolute Beginners, which implores some of Rookie's "favorite grown women" to discuss their first sexual encounters. Other ladies swapping tales of cherries popped include comedian Sarah Silverman, musician Liz Phair, and famous rock & roll groupie Pamela Des Barres.

Dunham's story mentions a childhood predilection for liver paté in the first paragraph, which, be honest, you were kind of hoping for. Also name-checked: Angela Chase and a slip skirt— remember the nineties?

It's a short post but, if you're pressed for time: Sophomore year; Oberlin; later recreated almost word-for-word in Dunham's film, Creative Nonfiction.

The most important thing to remember is that you need to call your friends up immediately to discuss this development. It is a rare gift to be able to come at Lena Dunham's sex life from a fresh angle.
