The Mega Millions winner in Maryland has come forward to receive his or her share of the record-breaking $656 million jackpot, but the person's identity will not be released. The Maryland ticket was one of three winners in the country.

Because the ticket-holder has sensibly decided to keep his or her name out of the press, there's not a whole lot of information to be had. There will be a press conference tomorrow, but it doesn't sound like that will be any more enlightening.

They scheduled a news conference for Tuesday morning, at which "no winners will be present," said Carole Everett, a spokeswoman for the Maryland Lottery. When asked whether there was more than one winner, she responded: "Perhaps."

No other details were immediately available.

But hey, feel free to speculate wildly. No matter who this person is, there's no way he or she is as interesting as the incomparable Mirlande Wilson, who — of course — "misplaced" her winning ticket. Perhaps she'll show up at tomorrow's press conference, if only to liven up an otherwise drab affair.
