BuzzFeed points to an unsettling (and totally passive-aggressive) card made before Whitney Houston's death. The text inside reads — in dramatic, lowercase-letters only fashion — "next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider whitney houston ... that's all i'm going to say." The card remained on Target shelves two weeks after Houston's death, until someone finally had the good sense to remove it.

The ominous text presumably refers to Houston's tumultuous marriage to "bad boy" Bobby Brown, and not to her untimely death. Either way, it's creepy. And what's the occasion for giving a card like that to a friend? It's not going to go over well at a birthday party, anniversary celebration, or Bat Mitzvah. Perhaps at an intervention? Whitney Houston aside, ending the cycle of abuse with a greeting card seems misguided.
