Representative Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, refused to allow women to testify at a hearing discussing a new regulation that requires employers and insurers to provide contraception coverage to their employees. Issa also denied a request to include a female witness to the hearing, stating:

As the hearing is not about reproductive rights and contraception but instead about the Administration's actions as they relate to freedom of religion and conscience, he believes that Ms. Fluke is not an appropriate witness.

Issa then refused the testimony from a female law student, prompting Democratic Representatives Carolyn Maloney and Eleanor Holmes Nortonto to walk out of the hearing in protest.

Whoa, ladies, why so serious? You should be more like billionaire investor Foster Freiss, for whom the vagina is a mysterious and terrible labyrinth, and just have a good chuckle about it. Foster appeared on Andrea Mitchell Reports this morning to suggest some wisdom from the good ol' days.

After suggesting the country needs group therapy for our obsession with sex, Foster told Mitchell:

This contraceptive thing. My gosh, it's so inexpensive. Ya know, back in my days they used to use Bayer Aspirin for contraceptives. The gals would stick it between their knees and it wasn't that costly.

Well golly gee whiz, Foster, had you suggested this ages ago we might not be in this pickle at all. Get your mid-wiving self up to the White House and ring that gong of truth for all to hear.
