Who Will Stop These Muppets from Tarnishing Fox News' Good Name?
The Muppets are liberal. No, they are communists. This, according to the Fox Business Network's Eric Bolling, who went on a spiel last month decrying the latest Muppet film's choice of villain — a greedy Texas oilman, a common stock villain in Hollywood motion pictures. And now the Muppets have publicly acknowledged their sharp commie biases, by making a joke about how terrible a television channel Fox News is.
In last month's Muppet segment of Bolling's program, Follow the Money, again that's Follow the Money, Bolling said, "liberal Hollywood depicting a successful businessman as evil – that's not new." The conservative Media Research Center's Dan Gainor was on as a guest, and this was right in his wheelhouse:
"They've been doing it for decades. Hollywood, the left, the media, they hate the oil industry," Gainor continued. "They hate corporate America. And so you'll see all these movies attacking it, whether it was 'Cars 2,' which was another kids' movie, the George Clooney movie 'Syriana,' 'There Will Be Blood,' all these movies attacking the oil industry, none of them reminding people what oil means for most people: fuel to light a hospital, heat your home, fuel an ambulance to get you to the hospital if you need that. And they don't want to tell that story."
Jesus Christ.
"The Muppets" were asked about Bolling and Gainor's whining at a press conference last week. Kermit the Frog dismissed it, and Miss Piggy added, "It's almost as laughable as accusing Fox News as, you know, being news."
After watching this clip the first site we had to visit was Andrew Brietbart's BIG HOLLYWOOD, where editor-in-chief John Nolte delivered a post that we should all bookmark on our computers for posterity, "Muppets Go Partisan: Kermit and Miss Piggy Trash Fox News." The Muppets have now put "themselves into this controversy," Nolte writes, "which will only further alienate a very large segment of their audience."
We can see all the conservative parents trying to explain to their children why they can't watch the Muppets anymore. Sorry, junior, but Miss Piggy made a joke about Fox News at a London press conference in response to Eric Bolling's comments on Fox Business Network's Follow the Money last month, so you cannot watch these felt creatures flop around on screens anymore. We really can see this.
