Has the Obamas' Dog Been Lying About His Whereabouts?
The conspiracy theories are happening so fast now that they're basically resolved before they even start, but let's not let this one escape the eternal clutches of the Gawker Archives: Did the Portuguese water dog Bo Obama — who's already been under heavy Christmas card scrutiny this week — fly out to Hawaii with Michelle Obama and the kids, and then fly back just to Washington for a photo-op with President Obama? Imagine the cost to taxpayers! Congress, please get back to town for a quickie impeachment.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser yesterday broke what some folks (literally zero people) are calling "Watergate on steroids":
There's a flurry of reports in the blogosphere today on whether first dog Bo was flown back from Hawaii to the nation's capital for a photo op after President Barack Obama and Bo appeared Wednesday at a store in Alexandria, Va.
Scott Miscovich, who lives down the street from the Obama vacation rental home on Kailuana Place told the Star-Advertiser Sunday, "My wife saw Michelle and the kids passing by and we've seen Bo (the Obamas' dog) walking."
Poor Scotty Miscovich, however, was unable to flee before the G-men showed up with their muzzle:
This afternoon, Miscovich released the following statement:"It is now clear my wife saw another black dog walking our neighborhood. We would like to apologize to Bo and the Obama family for any inconvenience this may have caused them. We would also like to wish them a peaceful and Merry Christmas."
My question is: Has anyone bothered to ask the dog where he was? Politifact? Hello?
Merry Christmas everyone!
