The feel-good story of the Christmas season: A news anchor in Chicago went on a rant about how Santa isn't real during her 9:00pm broadcast, brutally destroying the innocence of thousands of young Midwesteners.

Fox Chicago anchor Robin Robinson made the comments after a segment about how mall Santas are lowering kids expectations for gifts, given the crappy economy.

"Stop trying to convince your kids that Santa is Santa," Robinson said. "That's why they have these high expectations. They know you can't afford it, so what do they do? Just ask some man in a red suit. There is no Santa."

Outraged parents filled up Fox Chicago's Facebook wall with comments like: "Stop taking the joy out of christmas for our children and let them BELIEVE," forcing Robinson to issue an on-air apology.

Yeah, Robin Robinson. Why don't you just stick to reporting on brutal rapes, murders and car crashes like you do every other night and stop destroying children's innocence by telling them Santa isn't real? [Huffington Post]
