Former political person Sarah Palin, who's still performing her role as occasional whackadoodle on Fox News, went on last night to discuss the tragic case of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky allegedly raping young boys for decades. She had a nuanced reaction to the whole affair, specifically that Jerry Sandusky should be lynched.

In an interview aired Tuesday night with Greta Van Susteren on Fox News, Palin weighed in the pedophilia scandal engulfing former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

"Hang him from the highest tree," she said. "I'll bring the rope."

Maybe if there was a law saying, let's see, "Pennsylvania must lynch one person, and one person only, per year, or all of its citizens will disintegrate," then Palin's solution would work. But there's no law like that; it would be silly.
